I’ve had a MacBook Pro for about 3 days now, and I’m loving it. One really sweet program is Quicksilver, which is like the Windows Run dialog on steroids. There’s a great script I’ve just started using that lets you send Adium IMs from Quicksilver It’d be even sweeter if as you type the username, it would display a dropdown of which user will actually receive the message.

#1 On my list of "Top 10 Mac Applications" is Quicksilver. Finally we have Quicksilver. I put it as #1 on the list... not necessarily because I ranked everything from best to worst... but this is definitely my favorite. I call Quicksilver a application quick launcher...

Gone Fishin’ I’m going to be dragging my merry band of miscreants children off on our adventure in a matter of hours. The hard part is done - we’re packed up. I hate packing. That, and the after trip laundry are the worst parts of traveling, in my opinion.

In the process of rebuilding my laptop after Apple replaced the hard drive and I upgraded to OS 10.5.2 (apparently 10.5.3 is a bad upgrade right now so I'm holding off) I've had to rebuild alot of my processes, find some slightly out of date documents and reinstall and reset my helper applications like Quicksilver (still the bestest of the best).

Quicksilver's many virtues have been well covered elsewhere but there was one thing that was bugging me. I couldn't create a trigger for showing the clipboard. The Clipboard history was available directly but not as an item when adding a trigger. So here's the how to. First, install the necessary plugins.

Not since my rookie days as an ultrarunner a few years ago have I approached a race seriously thinking I might not finish. Deciding to go ahead and run Quicksilver 50 mile this year was definitely the stupidest running decision I've made all year. But somehow, instead of "DNFing" I "DNC'd"--did not crump.
