Well, it finally came an went after all the preparation and excitement and it was a BLAST!! The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was on May 10th, 2008 @ 8:30am in downtown Salt Lake City near the Gateway Mall. It was so fun. They said that there were something around 18,000 people registered for the event and I have no doubt that they were all there.

Some of the Brewers want to keep using their pink bats. Especially slugger Ryan Braun, whose two solo home runs Sunday were among eight Brewers hits that came with pink bats in their 5-3 win against the St. Louis Cardinals. Braun, Corey Hart and J.J. Hardy were among many from around Major League Baseball who went pink to support the Susan G.

Yeah, that’s Mets player Carlos Beltran using a fabulous pink bat! Major League Baseball players continued a Mother’s Day tradition today and used those awesome pink bats I blogged about a few weeks ago to raise awareness of breast cancer.

Today was a Pinkalicious Day for me and my daughter. Pinkalicious the Musical came to Connecticut in support of the cause and you know we were all over that! Have you not heard of the book by Elizabeth Kahn and Victoria Kahn? Well, here’s a synposis: “Pinkalicious can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents.

The Erie Zoo reopens today after being closed for the Winter. Hours are 10 am everyday until 5pm. During the summer months, the zoo is open until 6 pm on Sundays. The Zoo is closed December, January and February. Admission prices are $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, $4 for children 2-11, children under 2 as well as Zoo members are admitted FREE.

Continue reading... The Community Shelter Services Spaghetti Sauce Cook-Off will be held Noon-4 pm on Sunday March 2 at the Brewerie at Union Station. Taste and sample spaghetti sauce from local restaurants and vote who's sauce is boss. The Erie Clowns will be there face-painting the children.
