Noel Gallagher has explained that resting in bed with US comedy series Seinfeld has aided his recovery after being attacked onstage last week. The Oasis guitarist was pushed and injured while performing at the V festival in Toronto, Canada last week, forcing the Mancunian band to cancel concerts in London, Ontario, and New York City.

Noel Gallagher has spoken out about being pushed on stage at an Oasis gig in Canada, saying he feels like he has been fighting with a champion boxer. Writing on the band’s website, the musician said he "feels like I’ve had a sparring session with Ricky Hatton".

AP - British band Oasis has postponed its concert in London, Ontario, after a fan attacked and injured guitarist Noel Gallagher. A statement on the band’s Web site says Gallagher had bruises on his ribs and hip and was unable to perform Tuesday.

Last night at Toronto’s V Festival, Oasis were performing their headline set and were playing the song “Morning Glory” when a fan rushed onto the stage from the wings and pushed Noel Gallagher (pictured above) into the photographers’ pit in front of the stage. The assailant was subdued by security and was arrested.
