Jays Want Monkey On Their Backs
http://drunkjaysfans.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 03/ jays-want-monkey-on-their-backs.htm…Hey, everybody! Look at me, I'm Stoeten. I'm too good to write about locker room monkeys. Well, now I'm Parkes and I'm not such an elitist. Jeff Blair mentioned yesterday that the Blue Jays, led by Shaun "North Of Steeles" Marcum, are seeking approval from GM J.P. Ricciardi to get a clubhouse monkey for the coming season.

Thursday’s Mets News
http://mlb-mets.diehardsportsfan.net/ 2008/ 03/ 06/ thursdays-mets-news-7/The injury list is up to 16 now. The Mets are downplaying the status of the injuries. I’m getting more and more concerned about the ‘08 season. All of these injuries are overshadowing our acquisition of Santana. It was supposed to be an easy season, but we need our A-team to play for that to

Tests and the True Test
http://njmg.typepad.com/ metsblog/ 2008/ 02/ tests-and-the-t.htmlThe Mets finally emerged from the meeting with Donald Fehr and he then sat down with the media for a brief Q&A, a bit less harrowing for him than the congressional hearings he's found himself subjected to in recent weeks.

Given the hitters the Phillies have I think that’s pretty much a non-issue.

Olmedo Heads East…
http://mvn.com/ milb-pirates/ 2008/ 02/ 26/ olmedo-heads-east/…. east to Philadelphia, that is. Ray Olmedo, who was placed on waivers to make room on the Pirates’ 40-man roster for pitcher Byung-Hyun Kim, was claimed this afternoon by the Phillies. The Pirates were hoping that they could keep Olmedo in camp and competing for an infield job.

Grapefruit Update
http://mvn.com/ milb-pirates/ 2008/ 02/ 25/ grapefruit-update/Back from a few days away, and catching up on the news from Bradenton: Josh Shortslef, who was removed from the major league camp roster due to shoulder issues, had an MRI of the shoulder last week. February Laments and Random Stuff
http://drunkjaysfans.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 02/ february-laments-and-random-stuff.h…After getting geared up for spring training over the course of the past couple of months, right now I'm finding myself hit with a very distinct, Boxing Day day sort of malaise. Maybe this is only something that my fellow bloggers can relate to, but after struggling all winter to quench the thirst for Jays knowledge, suddenly mid-February hits and we're being swept away in a pointless torrent.

Wednesday’s Mets News
http://mlb-mets.diehardsportsfan.net/ 2008/ 02/ 13/ wednesdays-mets-news-3/Major League Baseball continued to make a mockery of itself today in Congress. Clemens is toast, but I knew that already. Every time he says a sentence, he makes the situation worse. I enjoyed the mockery because I always thought Clemens was a piece of crap since he cried after losing to the Mets
