God, how I hate “you must read” lists.
http://bookcrush.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ god-how-i-hate-you-must-read-lists…So after perusing this list of the 1,001 Books You Must Read Before You Die (I’ve read 86… not even 10 percent and my life is at least 25 percent spent, so…) I was quickly reminded of why I hate these lists. First of all — each person reacts to books differently. Anyone who has ever taken an English class can tell you this.
