This is an original oil painting of the Nueces River. It's not far from where I live, and it's a beautiful area. I drove out there this past weekend. I had family visiting from Louisiana, and always love to take a drive and show them this gorgeous area. The Nueces winds through much of the Texas Hill Country area.

Some natives pronounce this town ‘Lakey’ but I think that may be an ‘accent’ issue. ‘It’ is the 3 Sisters, a winding route spanning 3 different roads, north, south and then north again. The scenery is classic ‘old west’.
