I was M.I.A. on ANZAC Day

    http://timfoote.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 04/ 27/ i-was-mia-on-anzac-day/

I tried all day on friday to write a blog. I tried all day to do study. I tried all day to do something fulfilling or somehow useful. And I believe I managed to fail quite miserably. The one thing I managed was a catchy title (see above), but since the poignant moment of listening to M.I.A.’s Kala on ANZAC day has passed, that is also irrelevant.

We emptied out the house, but…

There’s always more to take out. More rubbish to ‘dispose of’, more pieces of old friends, more leftovers from relationships, more junk collector’s junk. I thought that was what moving house was for, but now, after moving 8 times in just over 2 years, I think I’m desensitized to anything that moving house can do to me.

    The Spanish Are So Lucky

    http://giancinephile.noosblog.fr/ mon_weblog/ 2008/ 04/ the-spanish-are.html

The Spanish are so lucky. Or in any other circumstances, anyone who is in close proximity to le Musac. Hedi Slimane has been coming up with wonderful images that are not necessarily limited to fashion ones but also those that leave room for thought. I like the designer's fascination with rock music and the rock music scene in particular.

    http://jasonschaeffer.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 04/ 23/ guatemala-a-weekend-adventure…

I just returned from a long weekend in adventure in central america. If you ever have the opportunity to swing on southward bound and pop into Guatemala City, I highly recommend it. I flew down from NYC, through Houston made my way straight to Antiqua, a town about 1 hour away from the airport in the capital.
