You know what? Absolutely no one I know outside of work uses text messaging or instant messaging of any kind. No really. And it’s only been recently that someone I know outside of work has started to use Flickr. No one I know personally blogs either. At least not on any measurable scale (yeah, I see ya, bro).

Women and men ‘covered’ differently in Entertainment Weekly Unconventional Beauty has an excellent and telling analysis of the past few years of Entertainment Weekly covers, and the difference in how women and men are permitted to be represented.  I particularly like how her analysis is reasonably “apples-to-apples”.

The book Mobile Advertising by Charma, Herzog & Melfi has tons of good stuff in it. I won't be covering all of it obviously, you have to go read the book. But its always a delight when some of our friends and colleagues find good examples of social networking, user-generated content, interactive media, engagement advertising and other topics dear to our hearts.
