Bowman is hot, REALLY hot
http://completist.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ bowman-is-hot-really-hot/Matt Laporta is a hot prospect at the moment, there is no doubt about that. What is a surprise though is what his second-year ‘08 Bowman Autograph just sold for. His first-year autographs don’t come close to that price! What gives?

Rijkaard and Guardiola: links round-up
http://black-white-and-grey.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ rijkaard-and-guardiola-links…I was going to write a long post about recent events at Barca, but then I read Phil Ball's latest column and agreed with pretty much everything he said, so I'm just going to link to it. I will be writing a tribute to 'Frankie' later - how could I not? - but for now, here's a collection of some of the interesting fall-out and commentary surrounding the change of staff.

A Tale of Two Mat(t)s
http://busleagues.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 12/ a-tale-of-two-matts/You may have noticed that last week I kind of skipped the whole “Spotlight on” series. I realized that doing a link dump every other day was overkill, and also noticed that nobody was clicking on the links. So, instead, I’ll be doing something a little more fun - looking at specific teams and prospects that grab my interest.

Brewers prospects
http://archiemanningsbastards.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ brewers-prospects.htmlBrewers prospects Ok, I'm tossing out this post about some of the top guys sitting in the brewers farm system right now. The draft is coming up and we have about two months to get something done before we have to decide to run a fire sale on a couple guys or keep them around for a pennant race.

Barcelona at the end of the season, Pep Guardiola, to take over as coach, the club president Joan Laporta announced yesterday in a press conference. Round ‘em Up: Friday
http://brewersnation.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 09/ round-em-up-friday-5/The Brewers are mired in a six-game slide. This stretch may mark the lowest part of the season, even though it is early in 2008. Starters are not going deep into games, and the offense is obviously not producing a lick. The Crew will look to turn it around against the Cardinals this weekend.
