A sneaky peek…
http://natashanewton.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 21/ a-sneaky-peek/…at the new 31.5×31.5″ canvas I’m working on, based on the landscape of the Peak District. This is the stage it was at, at 5pm on Wednesday 21st May. I’m nearing the completion of the fields, and will soon start adding all of the details - the house and the intricate little trees dotted here and there (I noticed that there don’t seem to be many trees, generally speaking, in the Peak District.

Two Unusual Pieces
http://equineartist.info/ artists/ 2008/ 05/ 19/ two-unusual-pieces/The two small format paintings I started on Saturday are still very wet so I wasn’t able to do anything with them. It will probably be another few days before they can be finished. This painting, however, has been hanging around for weeks. I tinker with it whenever the mood strikes but ignore it the rest of the time.

Reaching Tree--Original American Oil Painting
http://small-impressions.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ reaching-tree-original-american…This mangled old tree is a reminder of a trip I took to the Pacific Coast of Washington State. The weather had beaten it and shaped it, but it continued to reach for life. I had to recreate it in oils on a 5x7 inch hardboard panel. It is available to add to your collection of small format art by clicking on this link to my Etsy Shop.
