The Baby wanted a Godzilla cake for his birthday. So I thought, what if I took a Godzilla doll…but had him surrounded by a city of…cake? Genius! Well, not really, but I thought maybe all those years of building architectural models might be able to help me out.

I have no gratitude for the people who are giving time out of their busy lives to sit in Borders with me today. I have no gratitude for Joan from NYAdoptees.com who gave me such incredible support and advice when I started organizing the site. I’m ungrateful for the National RegDay Coordinator Petra, who has been keeping this event alive for years.

With each year that passes, I stand in awe at all that my boys accomplish.  I guess what they say is true - time flies when you’re having fun!  At each birthday, though, I want to stop time, take a moment and relish the experience of my child right then, right there.  While that isn’t possible, it is quite easy to “freeze frame” the memory into something tangible.

I have now planned and thrown over 50 birthday party celebrations for my children and have plenty more to plan and throw. With each party I have learned what I will do again and what I will never do again for future parties.Being the organized freak that I am, I know that to survive each party, I need to have it organized from beginning to end.

Is it really November already WOW WOW and WOW.. this whole year has gone by so quickly.. Before I start my weekend Recap for the week, let me wish my sister a belated Happy birthday.. Her Birthday was on Saturday Nov 1. So Happy Birthday Sis. Now onto our weekend.

The kids are going to be here any minute and you still have two dozen homemade (TYVM) cupcakes to decorate. Plus you still need to clean the bathroom (at least swish the toilet brush around the bowl once or twice), figure out where you hid the presents (ask the kids, they probably know) and get dressed (forget the shower).
