We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK, obviously, but today we’re celebrating anyway, because as well as being Thanksgiving, today is also the day we got the results back from Terry’s latest round of blood tests.

Marielle Carroccio is a beautiful fifteen year old girl with kidney disease. At this stage in her illness, her choices are limited to a transplant or dialysis. Mom and Dad have been fighting for her with the various organ procurement facilities, discovering that they do not all operate by the same rules.

This is Marielle. She is the beautiful teenage daughter of Lisa (aka The Domestic Diva), a dear friend of mine from the boutique world. Marielle desperately needs a kidney transplant, unfortunately finding a match for Marielle is extremely difficult. Her mother is one of the most generous, kind and talented people I have ever known.
