Halloween is today. If that catches you of guard, that may mean you are a procrastinator. I understand, holidays can sneak up on you. I have some last minute costume ideas and fun games and things to do with your kids before it is time to go out and collect all that candy.

Mr. Postman - Costumes 2008 This year, Thomas wanted to be a mail man for Halloween.  All his idea, I swear.  I'm shocked that he didn't want to be a Jedi.  Shocked.  So here's the finished product: I printed the USPS logo on iron-on transfer paper, ironed it to fabric, ironed interfacing to the back, trimmed, and then zig-zag stitched them with yellow all around to make the patches.

Like I reported last month about my son’s wish to be Indiana Jones for Halloween this year, I “created” his costume instead of buying the cheap set from Wal-Mart or the more expensive one, yet the same set from online stores and Toys’R'Us.

I know so many parents who procrastinate when it comes to Halloween. I know I am guilty of procrastination too. This year I am safe because my kids already have their costumes as hand me downs from their cousins. Whew. If you are not as lucky or have kids who just can’t come up with a costume, here are some ideas for easy costumes to make at home.

If 2 years ago Spider-Man was the most famous Halloween Costume among Boys, I’m guessing this year will be Iron Man. The blockbuster movie is fairly new. AND, the movie DVD just came out last week. We love Iron Man in our family too. Surprisingly though my son wants to be Indiana Jones this year.
