When I first heard of Donald Trump’s financial success it was in the context of the word “millions.” Not because he earned millions of dollars but because when he first started playing the game of deal making, he decided to raise the stakes to the millions, instead of the thousands or just hundreds of dollars.

It looks like another quiet week in the land of the geek -- particularly since all my friends are off at Fantastic Fest. If you're one of the lucky people attending, eat a Wild at Artichoke Hearts pizza for me at the Alamo Drafthouse. I lie awake at night thinking about it, and wishing for the skill to replicate it.

Back in the NES days I loved to play Mega Man. However, much like Sonic the Hedgehog, as the games continued over the years, I started enjoying them less and less. It’s been a few years since I’ve even touched a Mega Man game (aside from replaying the original last year), but I have to say that I’m excited about what Capcom is doing with Mega Man 9.

Although there were several announcements made by Nintendo at their E3 press conference, the biggest news (from a Star Wars nerd’s perspective) wasn’t even mentioned: The inevitable LucasArts Star Wars game that will utilize the Wii Motion Plus peripheral in order to deliver first person lightsaber duels.

It’s not all that uncommon to see a CD that has music from or inspired by a particular movie. It is less common, however to see the same thing based on a video game. Then again most video games don’t have killer soundtracks. Of course that can’t be said about Grand Theft Auto IV, which is why Rockstar is announcing an album based on the game.
