October 14, 2008 — Jennifer Schlick This has been just about the most glorious weekend ever.  Especially cool was that a whole bunch of girls, including some who had never been there before, got to experience Camp Timbercrest during the riotous colors of fall.  Girls came from around the council to work on a canoe and kayak Interest Project.

On Saturday afternoon, the exhibition "A Moving Commentary" opened in Takoma Park and despite the multitude of art events going on, had a large crowd. The exhibition is produced jointly by the Women's Caucus of Art, Greater Washington DC Chapter and Girls Gotta Run Foundation and includes wonderful images along the theme of "running" and shoes.
