    R.I.P. Rick Wright - Pink Floyd Keyboardist

    Pink Floyd founding member Richard “Rick” Wright passed away yesterday “after a short struggle with cancer,” according to a statement posted on David Gilmour’s website. He was 65. Wright served in early incarnations of the band and was a part of Pink Floyd when the outfit first emerged under that moniker in 1965.

    Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright is dead at age 65.  A founding member of the enormously successful British Rock band, Wright passed away today at his home ending a battle with cancer.  His family did not want to disclose any more details regarding his passing at this time.
