I was underwhelmed by Key West, but once place I did get pumped up about was the Ernest Hemigway Home & Museum The Hemingways (Ernest and his first wife, Pauline) heard about Key West from Ernest’s friend John Dos Passos, and the two stopped at the tiny Florida island on their way back from Paris.

Believe it or not, women are equal to men when it comes to stalking. A man does his stalking thinking with his testosterone. Some women tend to do it differently by learning a man’s ways. It could be psychological stalking, whereas women may get information on the man through having another woman try to speak to him and see where his head is at.

I’m hooked on Key West. There. I’ve admitted my problem. I went for the first time in May and then decided I needed a return trip to make sure the magic of the Keys was real. So, I used a mother/daughter getaway as an excuse, and guess what? It is still awesome! Now I get it. Everyone I meet there is from somewhere else.

Hidden at the end of narrow Freeschool Lane is the last remaining acre of undeveloped land in Key West’s historic Old Town. How this priceless parcel escaped development is nothing less than a miracle, but even more miraculous is the tropical rainforest that today grows upon the site.

Key West is a free-wheeling, hard-partying kind of place that never seems to sleep. It’s the kind of place you come to people-watch. A place where anything goes, as long as you’re not hurting yourself or anyone else.
