Keeping Kerouac, fighting Freudenberger, and other tales from book organizing
http://www.iwilldare.com/ 2008/ 11/ 28/ keeping-kerouac-fighting-freudenberger-a…Whenever I host Rock & Roll Bookclub I see it as an opportunity to get my books in order. In theory, for every book I put in the case I would take one off to give away or list on Bookmooch. That theory is total bullshit. I am greedy. However, I am pleased to report that I have a small laundry basket filled with books to give away.

Burroughs-Kerouac book isn't worth the wait
http://www.gazettenet.com/ 2008/ 11/ 26/ burroughskerouac-book-isn039t-worth-wai…More than 60 years ago, when Jack Kerouac was 23 and William S. Beats: An Accounting
http://americanfiction.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 11/ 17/ beats-an-accounting/The Brits have funny ideas about American culture if they think that Smokey and the Bandit is somehow part of the Beat legacy. (Hey, why not RV, then? Kenny Rogers’ Six Pack?) But I appreciate the London Times asking—in the wake of the universally scathing reviews of the Jack Kerouac-William S.

The Thing I Like Most About Blogging…
http://politicsofscrabble.org/ ?p=1330Is that I rarely know prior to writing a post where it will end up. Often times where a post goes is as much a surprise to me as anyone else. I generally get a very basic idea of something I want to write about, and then I sit down and start writing and the post evolves as I’m typing.
