Comfort in the Stratosphere
http://afeatheradrift.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 16/ comfort-in-the-stratosphere/This delicate painting was done by Lan Ying in 1642 during the Ming Dynasty and is called “Autumn Clearing in the Misty Woods.” I love these so simplistic works from Asia. They contain a beauty so different from most Western art. Unbelievable, but the shopping excursion went without incident yesterday.

Food day 2: Hooters and Korean
http://nacken.com/ ?p=2488Will post more about the activities of day #2 later, for now let’s focus on food. Julius really enjoyed Hooters. It was actually not his first visit, but the previous visit in Switzerland was just very different and he was too little to remember. The Hooters girls were all over him and he was all over the curly fries.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
http://baldfatangry.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ quote-of-day.htmlHe Done Saided Wha Now?!? “I didn't kill nobody. I swear I didn't. It's partly my fault. I ain't take the stand and tell what did happened.”1 -Convicted child killer Julius “Tyson” Davis, waxing most eloquent about how he couldn’t possibly have shot and killed 17-year Rasheeda Hightower during a 2002 “street melee.” Fortunately, the jury didn’t buy this bullshit.

http://iangarrickmason.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 16/ i-loved-rome-more/Fished out of the river Rhone last fall, a bust of Julius Caesar dating from 46 BCE, two years before his death. Oh yes, his death: on that delicate yet never untimely subject let us attend to Brutus once again… Romans, countrymen, and lovers!

First explorations / Apple Store / Goodburger / Tsuki
http://nacken.com/ ?p=2487Julius woke up at 3 AM and by 4 I was also up and running. Since I had one shopping priority (Apple Store 5th Avenue) and this store is open 24h, I thought this might be a good chance to get this done. And to give Ritsu some extra time to sleep, I dressed the kid and off we went … but the night reception guy was a bit inept and the allegedly called taxi never showed up.
