I was asked this question recently and it really got me thinking about the authors I've been compared to and the authors who have inspired me in the past. This was my answer: Since each book I’ve written is different, it’s very interesting to see the variety of writers I am considered most like, but I have to agree with people who have made these comparisons.

Some days ago, I got off the phone with Abah recommending that he read My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Piccoult. That got me thinking that I should write about this particular book which I would always recommend to anyone who ask for my recommedation on books. Its a must read.

   I had never read anything by Jodi Picoult before, and quite frankly, I didn’t even know who she was until a couple of months ago. It wasn’t until I saw this book for sale on my birthday that I decided to give it a go. I had seen some of her novels before at the bookstore, but they had never really stricken me as anything much interesting.

I’ve got nothing terribly specific to say, so I’m treating you to a rambling post. This weekend, we cleaned a bunch of debris out of the yard, along with brush, plus recycling. My husband took one trip to the landfill by himself and I went with for the second trip. We managed to finish this task before it really started raining.

Wow! I always look forward to her work, and she rarely disappoints. Change of Heart was by far one of my favorite Jodi Picoult novels, for so many reasons. Firstly, I love the law and reading about it. I loved Maggie's character and her determination to fight for what is right, regardless of the client and his offenses.
