Anderson’s schlock drawer — not “Mortal Kombat,” not “Event Horizon,” not “Resident Evil,” not “Alien vs. Predator” — prepares you for the peppy, good-time nastiness that is “Death Race.” It’s a loose remake of “Death Race 2000″ (1975), which imagined a bloodthirsty

2008 Olympics: Racism 101 in Black and White
http://sportsonmymind.com/ 2008/ 08/ 25/ 2008-olympics-racism-101-in-black-and-w…If this article is posted Monday morning, we can safely say the sporting press is generally racist. Men sweep 400-meters
http://www.d210.tv/ men-sweep-400-meters/BEIJING — Jeremy Wariner can forget about catching Michael Johnson for now. He couldn’t catch LaShawn Merritt. Merritt’s powerful, Usain Bolt-like stretch run led a U.S. sweep in the men’s 400 Thursday night, his long stride churning as Wariner, the reigning world champion, 2004 Olympic gold medalist and former Baylor NCAA champion, faded.

No, the Americans didn’t have their normal-dominant outing in the sprint events but you can blame the incredible Jamaican track team for that.

At the time he set the 200-meter World Record of 19.32, conventional wisdom said it could stand for at least generations of runners. Until last year, no runner has come within a smell of 19.32 seconds.

World Points Standings: Men’s Sprints
http://www.thefinalsprint.com/ 2008/ 06/ world-points-standings-mens-sprints/My rankings are being run on a pilot program this summer and I’m sharing them with the track community via The Final Sprint. Last year I did a trial run on just the men’s 100 meters and it correctly predicted the World Championships medalists in order, and then by the end of the summer readjusted to match Track & Field News’ world rankings nearly exactly.

http://preracejitters.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ last-lap-week-of-shock-and-surpris…Even Michael Johnson was "shocked" by 9.76. Usain Bolt should get a bonus for that feat alone. Read Telegraph Pay me! Allyson Felix and Sanya Richards running for real gold after the Olympics. Read Austin American-Statesman Jeremy Wariner tells it like it is. The Texas sensation is running his own race.
