Death Race - English Movie Review

    http://www.cinefundas.com/ 2008/ 09/ 13/ death-race-english-movie-review

Nothing in director Paul W.S. Anderson’s schlock drawer — not “Mortal Kombat,” not “Event Horizon,” not “Resident Evil,” not “Alien vs. Predator” — prepares you for the peppy, good-time nastiness that is “Death Race.” It’s a loose remake of “Death Race 2000″ (1975), which imagined a bloodthirsty

    http://preracejitters.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ instant-analysis-bolt-fabulous-in.…

-Brussells, Belguim--It's the Usain Bolt Show!ESPN interrupted its normally scheduled programming to deliver news that Usain Bolt ran 9.77 over 100-meters--track is coming slowly coming back. This afternoon, rainy weather, a slow start, and fatigue could not keep Bolt from ending arguably one of the greatest seasons recorded.

2008 Olympics: Racism 101 in Black and White

    http://sportsonmymind.com/ 2008/ 08/ 25/ 2008-olympics-racism-101-in-black-and-w…

If this article is posted Monday morning, we can safely say the sporting press is generally racist. We can also say that certain black sportswriters and columnists are little more than shuffling, scuffling, buffoons; house slaves who love “Massa” more than they love themselves.

    Men sweep 400-meters

    http://www.d210.tv/ men-sweep-400-meters/

BEIJING — Jeremy Wariner can forget about catching Michael Johnson for now. He couldn’t catch LaShawn Merritt. Merritt’s powerful, Usain Bolt-like stretch run led a U.S. sweep in the men’s 400 Thursday night, his long stride churning as Wariner, the reigning world champion, 2004 Olympic gold medalist and former Baylor NCAA champion, faded.

    U.S. Men Sweep The 400

    http://www.intentionalfoul.com/ olympics/ men-sweep-400/

While the track and field portion of the Beijing Olympics have been slightly disappointing for Team USA, there have been flashes of greatness as well. No, the Americans didn’t have their normal-dominant outing in the sprint events but you can blame the incredible Jamaican track team for that.

Stockholm: Powell Beats Bolt in 100m

    http://teamstrannon.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 22/ stockholm-powell-beats-bolt-in-…

Usain Bolt met Asafa Powell again today for a 100m showdown at the DN Galan Super Grand Prix in Stockholm. In legal wind conditions Powell barely edged out Bolt at the tape. Powell finished in 9.88, Bolt finished in 9.89. Bolt had a slow start, which didn’t help his time, it’s the first time Bolt has lost this season.

Michael Johnson is Prepared for Records To Drop

    http://preracejitters.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ michael-johnson-is-prepared-for-re…

Change is a constant. Records come and records go—no one understands this better than Michael Johnson. At the time he set the 200-meter World Record of 19.32, conventional wisdom said it could stand for at least generations of runners. Until last year, no runner has come within a smell of 19.32 seconds.

    World Points Standings: Men’s Sprints

    http://www.thefinalsprint.com/ 2008/ 06/ world-points-standings-mens-sprints/

My rankings are being run on a pilot program this summer and I’m sharing them with the track community via The Final Sprint. Last year I did a trial run on just the men’s 100 meters and it correctly predicted the World Championships medalists in order, and then by the end of the summer readjusted to match Track & Field News’ world rankings nearly exactly.

The Last Lap: A Week of Shock and Surprises!

    http://preracejitters.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ last-lap-week-of-shock-and-surpris…

Even Michael Johnson was "shocked" by 9.76. Usain Bolt should get a bonus for that feat alone. Read Telegraph Pay me! Allyson Felix and Sanya Richards running for real gold after the Olympics. Read Austin American-Statesman Jeremy Wariner tells it like it is. The Texas sensation is running his own race.
