2001 once again i am standing by a window. my mind is a hive of frantic thoughts, talks and anger. i watch as the three of them, laughing, prepare to get in the car and drive away. just one door down. yesterday I said i didn’t want to go because i had a cold. but i am furious.

Korn Junkies and Blind Date in Dublin

The students, they are making the films. Art imitating life: I just snorted a load of Alpen. The raisins are difficult but you get used to it. That 2 minute 38 second slow motion coda after the film had made it’s point… when we watch poor Michael’s dignity slip away until the manic depressive smile kicks in at the end as he cracks - was that really necessary?

    Irrational vs Rational

    http://paulocoelhoblog.com/ 2008/ 04/ 16/ irrational-vs-rational/

Recently I read in an article by David Mehegan in The Boston Globe about the release of the book “Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions.” by Dan Ariely, a behavioral economist at MIT. This book seemed very appealing to me because the author proves, by a series of behavioural experiments, that humans tend to act much more irrationally than rationally.

What happens when a majority of people are predictably irrational?

    http://www.emergencemarketing.com/ 2008/ 03/ 31/ what-happens-when-a-majority-of…

That is the question that MIT professor in behavioral economics Dan Ariely tries to make his readers think about in his new book, Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions, as he proves that most people are indeed predictably irrational. Take the following experiment as an example.

    Homophobia: Youth and Community Responses

    http://ivythesis.typepad.com/ term_paper_topics/ 2008/ 03/ homophobia-yout.html

Introduction Almost every dictionary defines the term “homophobia” as “the fear of homosexuals”. Wikipedia defines “homophobia” as “the fear of or contempt for homosexuality or homosexuals” or “the fear of becoming a heterosexual”.

    Driving Conditions: Wet

In retrospect, the journey to Dublin wasn’t nearly as bad as it could have been. This unprecedented level of semi-success was, of course, absolutely nothing to do with either The Sister or myself, but largely thanks to Maxine (Sister’s SatNav), some good-natured toll plaza attendants, a couple of painkillers and CD one from the Now 28 compilation.

    parrot~

    http://slavemagdala.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 02/ parrot.html

parrot~ I am tired of hearing myself say the same things over and over again. I cannot find my voice only this strange parrot who repeats the same thoughts again and again. Things changed when they came for the piano although I am fine my life is on a sort of hiatus and has been for years now and another year ended nothing changed everything stays the same always.

    fine, just fine~

fine, just fine~ When I was in high school (read - invincible and everything always went the way it was supposed to) we got a call from my Grandparents housekeeper. She said that my grandfather was sick and needed to go to the hospital and she had called for an ambulance and he was refusing to go.

crazy~ Special note to the comment nazi who feels I should proofread. Screw off. Got it? I do not read my own posts, I do not proofread, I only do a spell check if I think about it. I do not give a flying rat's ass dipped in butt monkey grease what you think about what I write.
