New Avatars for Commenters Without Avatars!

If someone without an Avatar (mostly people who aren’t logged in) leave a comment, they have an avatar! To toggle the images go to your WP Dashboard, then click on Settings. Click on Discussion and scroll down. You’ll see Avatar Display, here you can toggle Avatars on & off.

[Laymanspeak] Avatars or Gravatars are the small images that appear beside the commenter’s name [/Laymanspeak]. WP users will have their own avatar and others will have a gravatar based on their email id.

In the past, WordPress would show a silhouette of a generic person. A new site feature is the creation of an image, called an identicon, that is unique because it is based on the IP address of the poster.
