That’s All I Have to Say About That
http://www.baycityball.com/ 2008/ 08/ 06/ thats-all-i-have-to-say-about-that/Was there anything more predictable in the world than watching Mike Hampton throw 7 innings of 2-run ball to beat the Giants for his first win in almost 3 years? Right next to the law of inertia, the law of resultant force, and the law of reciprocal actions should be the fourth law of: “Injured, ineffective, or otherwise bad pitchers always beat the Giants”.

Rain, a free resource...
http://ramblingsfromoz.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ rain-free-resource.html...or maybe not so much. I liked this bit; 21 Acres farm wants to create on a much grander scale when it breaks ground next year on an agricultural center with farm stalls, classrooms and test kitchens. The new addition could store 150,000 gallons of rain to irrigate dozens of adjacent garden plots, currently sucking up expensive city water.

Book Week–Looky Here
http://blogs.digitallanding.com/ 2008/ 07/ 23/ book-week-looky-here/I love books, and I love teaching my kids to love books. We’re big friends of our local libraries, but cyberspace offers some help, too. Let me introduce you to my friend, Lookybook. Lookybook has been making a splash on parent blogs and for good reason.

http://www.lauramrmak.com/ ?p=213Tonight’s Jays game comments and some thoughts Filed under: Blog — lauramrmak @ 11:35 pm Disheartening. Another Jays loss on the books, bringing us to 48-51 on the season. This particular loss comes after a sweet win yesterday where Rios and Scutaro helped the team come back from being down 3-4

Zen Moment
http://blogs.digitallanding.com/ 2008/ 07/ 17/ zen-moment/Summer is on its downhill run and schooltime chaos is about to ensue. Stop. Take a deep breath and enjoy this moment. Don’t let busy schedules and budget-busting gas costs keep you from your yoga class. I found a free, hour-long streaming yoga class that is fresh every day for you to practice in the privacy of your own home at your own time.

MLB All-Star Game:Too Much at Stake
http://baseball180.com/ 2008/ 07/ 17/ mlb-all-star-gametoo-much-at-stake/Yesterday’s mid-summer classic was certainly a classic, but when is the MLB going to realize that it’s too much for what’s supposed to be an exhibition game? The thing that upset me the most was this, how can this game judge the World Series? Michael Young won’t even see the playoffs, yet his RBI will decide the World Series.

Details on the Swing
http://sportstorial.com/ 2008/ 07/ 16/ details-on-the-swing/Many people ask me to explain how the hands start the bat instead of the upper body. I always teach for the hitter to pull his/her hands through with the bat head back. But several players have said that when they pull their hands through it seems as though it is done with my front shoulder and front forearm and this pulls me off the ball.

Josh Hamilton
http://lightsoutstudios.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ josh-hamilton.htmlI am amazed by the display put on by Josh Hamilton at last night's MLB home run hitting contest. By all measures, his performance was nothing short of incredible. He was simply on fire from the get-go. Granted, Hamilton is a professional and gifted hitter, but 28 home runs is mind-boggling.
