The Legend continues. Like my last post this is more a collection of thoughts and conjectures on the story thus far. Ton of spoilers too. The big focus of the second season is how Phezzan manages to manipulate both sides into war and eventually gets the Empire to outright conquer the alliance.

The Create a Soul feature of Soul Calibur IV is pretty fully featured this time around. They’ve added a lot of detail to it in order to make clothes fit better, have more colored parts, and overall good revamp of the color tinting system so things don’t go completely out of whack when tweaking colors.

Comic Con 2008 Gallery Update The team has been working fast and furious to get all of the pictures in our Comic Con 2008 gallery labeled, and we are just about done. There are a few more galleries still to be added, but the lion’s share are up now for your enjoyment.

I’ve finished the first batch of Legend of the Galactic Heroes episodes and I just have to say…wow. This show just blows me away. The characters, the story, the music, the pacing - everything is just perfect. This is one of the few anime that I would really call artistic as the themes and arguments it brings up are still relevant to this day, and indeed are relevant for all time.

Watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes Two episodes in and I love it. There’s no more dynamic an opening than a giant space battle. I find it rather funny that the opening narration of the very first episode of a show about war basically says how war is meaningless and will ultimately be forgotten.

It’s devil’s advocate day here, as I try to flush out my bias and take a centrist point of view on the cartoon character facelift conundrum, exploring ‘then and now’ from a sociological perspective, with a bit more analysis from yesterday’s post on my own marketing background in terms of branding overhauls.

In the year 1994 the greatest cartoon the world had ever seen exploded on to television that lasted until the year 2001. The final episode of this series was a cliffhanger and everyone who became a fan of the series wanted to know what the hell happened to them.

Atlus has revealed a new batch of character profiles from the upcoming Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard. The title for the Nintendo DS is a classic Japanese style RPG. I haven’t played the original Etrian Odyssey, but looking at the story and character design I’m reminded of Square’s Mana series.
