Heifer International May 11th, 2008 by indigo-daisy This is my Mother’s day gift from my oldest son, a donation of a llama on my behalf to a village in need via an organization called Heifer International . What an amazing organization this is and it has been in existance for almost 60 years.

While reading WiseBread, I came across a company which builds these amazing little homes. The Biensi is their smallest at only 70 square feet! You may ask, who on earth would want to live in such a small house?!? There is a growing community of people who are rejecting excess stuff--clothes, dishes, collectibles, etc--for a simpler lifestyle.

<img src=”” alt=”null” /> I’m back, from a hiatus of sorts during which I went in for outpatient surgery for a benign ovarian cyst that turned into inpatient surgery for endometriosis (not serious, just invasive) and a partial Oophectomy.

By now cause-related marketing has penetrated almost every kind of market. Here’s more proof that cause-related marketing finding a home at the high end: when you buy a rug from Dan Golden Inc., a New York City designer and maker of high-end hand-tufted wool rugs, the company will buy a sheep for a family in a developing country from Oxfam.

Thanks to LYVVIE (Ya know I LOVE YOU!!!), I've finally got my word counts up there. *grins* That's rather an eye opener. Had a few more stories I've started that I originally anticipated when I did the mental count. And there's two more, but they're on my laptop. *snickering* Seriously.

But here she is. Number 1 calf of the season. I have better ones of her, but I just thought that tongue sticking out was so cute! We’re still waiting for the rest.

I've already stated that Middle Chicken will be the death of me. Right? RIGHT??? *deep breath* Okay, then. Middle Chicken doesn't seem to understand a lot of her work while in class. However, she is more than willing to bring it home, procrastinate, and then have me reeducate her after I've worked a long eight hour shift.

I don't wear make-up. My idea of wearing make-up is to pop on powder (to take off the shine) and lipstick (because I like color.) But today...I'm being interviewed by the local paper. WOO! How exciting is that? So, I decide, in my infinite wisdom, that if there are pictures, mebbe I need to put forth a little more effort.
