Mission Viejo's Karen Hamman wins "2008 city clerk of the year award"

I am pleased to learn that Karen Hamman, our (Mission Viejo) city clerk, has just been awarded "2008 city clerk of the year" by the City Clerk's Association of CA at their annual award banquet that was held last Thursday where Karen was given a crystal trophy.

CF James Boone and 2B Melvin Dorta led the hitting attack. Boone hit a solo homer in the 3rd inning, which made the traditional exit from the ball park over the right field wall.

The Crawdads went down in order in the first three innings. They did get three baserunners in the 4th inning, when 1B Miles Durham doubled and LF Erik Huber reached base on a fielding error.
