This artwork by Takashi Murakami just sold for $15 million. It is difficult for me to really comment on what that says about the commercial art world. On one hand I think “that’s fucked up” and on the other I think “who really gives a shit?” Art is just art and the people that swirl around it that don’t make art themselves are … some adjective I can’t think of.

The Street Fighter IV hype machine is starting to roll. If you enjoyed the first few videos released of gameplay footage from SF IV, you should definitely pick up January’s copy of EGM. It’s still too early for us to make any definitive statements on the game, but it certainly has numerous interesting aspects to it.
