I got up with the alarm this morning again, but lay in bed with the wife and Yorkie for about 45 minutes. I slept better than I did the night before, so I got up a little easier this morning and started coffee. I dicked around on the interweb in the office, leaving the wife on the laptop in the bedroom.

GRACE IS GONE I chose to watch this for John Cusack, only my mega-super-ultra favorite movie actor ever. Expectedly, the film would have to be a sad story. I know I was gonna end up crying since it's about of a father who learns that his (solider) wife has been killed in Iraq and doesn't know how to begin to tell their daughters about it.

You know that family-friendly computer-animation is a box-office winner when every studio has its own animation wing. Here, it’s MGM getting in on the act with the animated adventures of everybody’s favorite hunchbacked science partner, Igor (that’s EE-gor, not EYE-gor).

I have little interest in seeing most movies about the Iraq war that Hollywood has spit out. Too agenda-driven for my taste. I'm not even sure why I rented this one. Maybe because it stars John Cusack, and I do love his acting. Grace is Gone has a sad premise.

Mike saw the John Cusack drama Grace Is Gone and gave it a glowing five-star review. He says, It just seems like John Cusack gets better and better, the older he gets. He picks fantastic movies, with amazing stories, and just nails performances…If you’re a Cusack fan (as I am), this movie needs to be seen.

Jesi H. won the “Grace is Gone” DVD!!! Congratulations!!! This is a great movie with the soundtrack by Clint Eastwood. The movie is powerful and real as I watched John Cusack transform from a quiet, disconnected man to a warm caring, loving father.
