An RAF helicopter from HMS Gannet at Prestwick airlifted a thirteen year-old Yorkshire boy from Argyll’s Isle of Scarbha to Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital, with Coastguards from Oban and Appin also called out and reckoning the boy was lucky to be alive.

Today must be the day for online video platforms. Gannett said today it has made a minority investment in Mogulus, an Internet video platform. The investment extends and expands on Gannett’s three-month-old commercial agreement with Mogulus to provide broadcasting services on the company’s Web sites.

Overtaking the current champion of manliest fishing, Dynamite Fishing (followed closely by Hand Grenade Fishing), Matt Watson employs his newest technique which calls the “Gannet Man”. A gannet is the baddest fish-catching bird ever.

Something about this video clip is fishy to me, but it’s pretty neat regardless. Take one part man in helicopter, add one part marlin in the ocean, have man jump from helicopter and catch said marlin with barehands, bake for one hour. The only real question I have is how they had the camera in the water ready to get the man get the marlin.
