Problematic Words
http://inhabitatiodei.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 11/ problematic-words/There are certain key buzz words among evangelicals, particualrly emergey-types that literally make me want to perpetrate extreme violence on anyone I hear saying them. And sadly, every now and then I find some of them escaping my own lips. So, if you find me too harsh, just realize that much of what I am about to say is as much self-loathing as others-loathing.

Incarnation is not ...
http://movedmountains.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ incarnation-is-not.html"...incarnation is not about reinventing and compromising faith to fit into contemporary culture selling out, but is getting down and dirty: making the move to be amongst and one of whilst yet retaining purity and modelling holiness in the midst." Fresh Expressions of Church as Post Modern Friars
http://ian-mobsby.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ fresh-expressions-of-church-as-post.ht…Last week, I spoke at a New Monasticism conference organised by the Anabaptist network and the Northumbria Community. I was invited to dialogue with the Provincial Brother, who heads up the Anglican Franciscan Order in England. It was a real privilege.

Who Is Richard Rohr?
http://christianresearchnetwork.com/ ?p=5012In a continuing series Apprising Ministries seeks to introduce the Body of Christ to various teachers of a counterfeit Christianity through their neo-pagan “spiritual disciplines” of Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM), a corrupt spiritual blight which is currently spreading apostasy through the evangelical camp as quickly as an Oklahoma wildfire.

living with fresh imagination...missional
http://thewearypilgrim.typepad.com/ the_weary_pilgrim/ 2008/ 05/ living-with-fre…The Kingdom lies in how we embody what we believe. Our greatest challenge is to live faith in a world gone mad. And all of creation waits, groans, for a people who will live God’s dream with fresh imagination... "Father, why don't they get it ", I imagine Jesus saying under his breath in the above picture.

Who Can Mark Driscoll Worship?
http://inhabitatiodei.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 09/ who-can-mark-driscoll-worship…I really shouldn’t have expected anything distinctively sane from a magazine called ‘Relevant‘. That was a huge mistake, and one that I can assure my faithful readership I will never make again. The magazine as a whole is committed to pedantically insisting that Christians can, pretty much be cool

How many congregations are emerging?
http://boyinthebands.com/ archives/ how-many-congregations-are-emerging/I’m going to take a couple of days to consider the issue of congregational growth in the Unitarian Universalist Association. So I asked myself: How many emerging congregations — organizations in formation and those (once covenanted) that plan to join the Unitarian Universalist Association — are there? Their number is a good indicator of the UUA’s growth prospects.

A Possible Factor for the Current State of the American Christian Church
http://christianresearchnetwork.com/ ?p=5004Let’s offer a possible explanation for the current state of the American Christian Church. The postevangelical god of Open Theism e.g. as elucidated by Greg Boyd has finally awakened from his/her/its stupor of “unconditional” loving suddenly to realize that his/her/its creation has changed so drastically that he/she/it had better pay closer attention.

Faith House Manhattan: Project of Apostasy by Samir Selmanovic
http://christianresearchnetwork.com/ ?p=5002Apprising Ministries shares some concerns about a post over at Pomomusings: Journeying Toward An Open & Progressive Theology [translation: a postliberal quasi-universal antichrist theology] where Adam Walker Cleveland talks about the Faith House project of Samir Selmanovic.
