    In a surprise of sorts, Tata has unveiled the Electric Indica. This news article/picture is from a Tamil daily, Dinamalar. Tata Motors plans to launch an electric version of its Indica hatchback in Norway within a year, and will bring it to the local market at a much later stage, its managing director said on Wednesday.

    Smart Gets A Charge Out Of Olde Berlin

    In the largest field test to date, the German electric utility RWE is teaming up with Daimler to test EV charging aparatus with 100 Smart ED (electric drive) test vehicles driving around Berlin today. RWE will be installing 500 such charging station around Berlin, at workplaces and in public parking areas, but also, in an unusual development, at customers homes.

    Hydrogen could be the fuel of the future, if someone can help bring the price down. Hydrogen’s obtained by splitting water into it’s two parts, oxygen and hydrogen. Right now, the only method for doing the splitting involves platinum as a catalyst. Platinum is expensive, and that’s the main reason for the high cost of hydrogen as a fuel.

    Honda has added a new safety feature to its Vehicle Stability Assist system called Motion Adaptive Electric Power Steering (Motion Adaptive EPS). Currently only available with the newly launched Honda Legend, it will be added to the Japanese-market Honda Accord (not the same as our Accord as it is known as the Honda Inspire there) and the next generation Honda Odyssey.
