Strategy Session: Mapping an Obama Presidency
http://sanityandpwns.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ strategy-session-mapping-an-obama-presid…Strategy Session: Mapping an Obama Presidency Posted by michaelmee on May 13, 2008 According to the Rasmussen poll released on 5/12, if the poll’s % translate into the results, McCain wins 320-218 in the electoral vote. But, I don’t think that means much at this point. Obama has multiple paths to victory.

Tedium revisited
http://sophisticmiltonianserbonianblog.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ tedium-revis…I just posted a response to a thoughtful comment made regarding my earlier jeremiad aimed at Texas Watch’s recent report entitled, “In the Shadows: A look Into the Texas Supreme Court’s Overuse of Anonymous Opinions.” Of course, after my recent “discourse” with someone purporting to be Adam “Bulletproof” Reposa, pretty much anything is–by comparison–civil, restrained, and respectful.

Maths Day 1.0
http://commentspage.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ maths-day-10/So today we’ll do a lot of maths to determine who actually is the Democratic nominee AND what are the chances of the candidates in November. All bases on facts, polls and election rules. But first, let’s determine how the President is elected. Editor’s Note-West Virginia Primary
http://www.thejnotes.com/ blog1/ editors-note-west-virginia-primary/Unfortunately, I won’t be able to live blog the West Virginia primary results because I will be on a plane headed to Oregon for campaigning purposes. I can, however, provide my predictions: Hillary will win this one in a blowout, probably by 25-40 percentage points.

Why John So is your bro The perils of a direct election
http://melbournecitycouncil.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ why-john-so-is-your-bro-peri…The Age has published an article proposing the question "Why is John So my Bro"? IN it the writer makes some connection to London's new Lord Mayor and then goes on to expose some of the myths and weakness of Johns So's tenure. This pop star image and brunt of a joke that John so well responds to is a by product of the Direct election system.

Electoral Predictions for General Election
http://www.squirmelicious.com/ ?p=87By every reasonable metric the Democrats should enjoy overwhelming success this November. With the economy, war, and demographic trends on their side, coupled with the Obama Campaign’s efforts to rewrite the traditional Democratic map, states that had traditionally been ceded to the Republican’s will now be in play.

It's that it has never really being tried." Part of the reason is that too many folks feel that

It’s the Geography, Stupid.
http://middleburydemocrats.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ its-the-geography-stupid…Here’s an interesting take on Obama’s problems with poor white voters: his actual problem is with Appalachian voters, many of whom are poor and white. As a geography man, I can’t help but be fascinated by these maps: Look at the clear swath of strong Clinton support along Appalachia.
