Labor Day Weekend Campfire Cooking Pictures

    http://campingearth.com/ blog/ 2008/ 09/ 03/ labor-day-weekend-campfire-cooking-…

Labor Day weekend did not work out how I planned. We were supposed to go camping but a knee injury that has me forbidden to walk up and down steps or to do much walking at all right now, kept the camper in the driveway and me at home, feeling cranky and crabby.

    Camp Soup

    http://beveg.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 28/ camp-soup/

I took my cousin hiking and camping in Elkmont this weekend.  Thankfully, some of the old vacation cabins are being repaired and preserved.  I’m not certain if it’s happened yet, but some groups in the area are fighting to have them zoned as an historical landmark.  The history of Elkmont and the

    It’s Time for S’mores

    http://rachellewrites.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ its-time-for-smores.html

I have always enjoyed going camping. Of course, now that I’m older I realize that it does take a bit of effort to get everything packed up to make the camping experience just right. I appreciate my parents for taking four of us hoodlums camping in a little pickup camper.

The Tempermental Diva is Almost Ready

    http://stressmanagementandotherthings.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ tempermental-diva-…

We found out what is the matter with the Diva-- it's something with the fuel injector. Our mechanic is very nice and making it affordable to us to fix her up. If I had a million dollars, I think that I would give some to a mechanic like him to fix cars for people like my family.

    http://gazelem.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 23/ the-camp-of-hikes/

23 July 2008 — Travis Grant Last week our family took our new-to-us tent trailer camping at Spruces Campground. While it wasn’t my first choice for campsites, it really was a good trip. We ended up leaving on Monday afternoon about 3:30pm.

    Dutch Oven Brownies

    http://williamskitchen.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ dutch-oven-brownies.html

Terri and I both love Dutch Oven Cooking while were camping. It allows us to not waste wood to cook and like a slow cooker you throw everything in and walk away. Dutch Ovens also give you the option of an oven while camping.

    Campfire Cobbler

    http://blogs.kqed.org/ bayareabites/ 2008/ 06/ 26/ campfire-cobbler/

Campfire Cobbler Sigh. Mammoth. I’ve been hearing about the wonders of this little tucked away part of California for probably 10 years. And for the past 6 years I’ve had an annual invitation to join a group of friends on their yearly trek to The Cabins. But for this reason or that, I’ve never managed to make it out there.
