    [The Viewfinder] Dusk #1

Click on the image above to view larger. Ah, I can think of few things better than spending a warm summer evening sitting on the west bank of the Trinity River, with the fireflies and the city lights twinkling in the distance. We can thank Flickr user Yo Spiff for this great image.

30 Seconds of Nothing by a Cemetery in Queens

The dead are regarded now as green space, or as an incident in New York city life…much like traffic lights, public parks, and wire trash bins.

    ...And the candle melted down

    http://apassingglimpse.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ and-candle-melted-down.html

Bubbles of froth rose to the top of the glass. The hiss of carbonated fluid mixing with whiskey permeated the comfortable silence between them. His spry fingers twirled the glass, his gaze fixed upon the golden hue of vanishing turbidity. She looked at him, imbibing his protective presence, his silence and the mild scent of cologne that lingered in the air.

    Dusk And Summer

    http://darknesssurrounding.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 08/ odd/

I don’t know what to feel tonight, nor can I really even attempt to comprehend it. Anyone who really reads this would know of the girl I’ve been speaking of in previous entries. I went to her house tonight and she basically broke down in my arms, tears and all. I’m crazy confused.

    Sailing on Green Bay

“There is a rule in sailing where the more maneuverable ship should give way to the less maneuverable craft. I think this is sometimes a good rule to follow in human relationships as well.” Joyce Brothers One of my viewers, Rosa Say, who has a remarkable site at Aloha Coaching left me an interesting comment.

    Capitol at Dusk

    http://gardengrow.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 06/ 17/ capitol-at-dusk/

Walked around the Capitol Square on Monday evening. It wasn’t your typical mid-June stroll - I had on jeans and a heavy sweatshirt - but it was a pleasant night, a tad windy. I dragged my tripod and camera around for a couple of hours. Shot the sunset over Lake Mendota, the flooding in the Tenney Locks area, and finally wandered around the Capitol.

    After the heat is over...

    http://rosehavencottage.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ after-heat-is-over.html

After the heat is over as the sun slips over the western horizon and the moon comes peeking through the branches of pomegranate blossoms... ...the garden remains awake and alive for every last second of light. The bees take their last sips of water at the pond's edge to take back to the hive where they will rest for the night.

the light shines in the darkness…

    http://brandonmilan.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 04/ 24/ the-light-shines-in-the-darknes…

One of the coolest things about living in Northern Canada is that today is April 24, its 10:00 PM… and its still dusk. From what we hear, in June, the sun won’t go down until nearly midnight, and even when it does, its still dusk, until morning. Now if we can just get all this snow melted….
