Five times. In the past months Dozier Internet Law has seen five instances in which lawyers, rendering advice and guidance, have gotten themselves and their clients in hot water. One lawyer was indicted with his client. One lawyer was sued as a conspirator with his client.

Dozier Internet Law today issued a special advisory notice relating to the new Federal Trade Commission requirements for creditors set to go into effect on November 1, 2008. This is the date of compliance-which means that if you are an online business extending credit you may be covered under the law.

I recently saw a comment from a lawyer at a public interest group giving advice and guidance on a hotly disputed online legal issue to the citizens of the web. The problem, of course, is that unlike a law firm like Dozier Internet Law these groups (Public Citizen, Electronic Frontier Foundation, ACLU and many legal professors) owe no one at all any duty of care.

Dozier Internet Law continues to deal with impersonators. The latest incident comes from a heads up in the legal department at Apple Computer. Seems someone used our "letterhead" to try and pry some trade secrets and source code from them.

It seems Internet Harassment, Online Slander, Cyberbullying and other abuses in the World Wide Web is growing! I am contacted on a daily basis from victims of today's newest lethal & legal weapon to harm others - keystrokes! You have to wonder what possesses people to feel the need to hurt others so malicously.

People have asked me why Carey Bock continues to slander and post lies about me and twisted truths, well with an $11.3M judgment over her head (most likey for the rest of her life) it seems she has nothing left to lose, so why not? At least educated people are wise enough to see her vengeance and why she continues.
