A rather cool publicity stunt for the launch of Foxtel’s new 111 Hits Channel will see a one off revival of the ABC’s Countdown from its original studio before a studio audience. Molly Meldrum will host the special at 6:30pm Saturday November 1st with a musical line up including Bonnie Tyler, the Rocky Horror Show cast, The Models, The Angels and John Paul Young.

111 HITS, which launches on November 1st will be aimed squarely at the lucrative advertiser-friendly 25-54 demographic, as a move to compete with the new standard definition digital channels by commercial networks.

This October on ION Television they will expand Boston Legal to air more than once a week! Currently the show is airing Mondays at 8:00PM but beginning Monday, September 29, the show will air Mon-Thurs at 8:00PM ET/PT and also Wednesdays at 9:00PM. However, a few Thursdays, it will be preempted for the Thursday movie.

FX made some last minute schedule changes last week (effective July 14) but we didn't have time to inform me as we were swamped with so much other stuff. FX has removed Married...with Children, Dharma & Greg and Buffy the Vampire Slayer from its line-up. The first two were airing weekdays in the daytime while Buffy was airing weekends at 7am.
