Cauliflower Soup
http://www.chezus.com/ ?p=672I have to apologize for such a short post. It is late, I am tired, spin class kicked our butts! So here it is …. Eat Local Challenge … Day 3 for us. Late night, late dinner. I love cauliflower soup and Lenny likes it after tonight. I have yet to find the perfect recipe; but, the one I came up with was darn good. Writing out the recipe now, so be sure to come back for it.

Learn How to be Your Own Chef
http://notsosassy.com/ 2008/ 10/ 07/ learn-how-to-be-your-own-chef/When I was growing up, I had always admired Moms who can provide care and love for her family especially for the clidrean. But also, there’s a saying that goes like, “The best way to a man’s heart is his stomach”. I believe that’s only on the Philippines. I think in the USA is totally different, it’s probably the other way around.

BARN: Grooming Mawrtyrs, Saving Animals
http://www.biconews.com/ ?p=10178By Anagha Kumar Walking into Rhoads Living Room for Spa-Night last Wednesday, I found myself making a bee-line for the make-your-own foot scrub table. Pink Soup
http://www.chezus.com/ ?p=663This is our first official meal for the “Eat Local Challenge“. Jen over at Use Real Butter, made this fantastic White Chili and we have been drooling all over the photos this weekend, so we added it to our list. I normally do not make Chili as it is Lenny’s one true recipe that he likes to make, I don’t want to take that from him. So, we are not calling it Chili, we are calling it soup!

Pulled Pork
http://blog.ladow.net/ 2008/ 10/ 05/ pulled-porkI am addicted to the Renowned Mr. Brown preparation of Boston butts. The peppery taste along with the finishing sauce I make makes for a wonderful dance of spices in my mouth. Gert watched a cooking show a few months ago about barbecue. She picked up that seeded buns are preferred for pulled pork so she makes sure we have these on hand.

Smells and tastes of glorious autumn
http://bathtubjunkie.net/ ?p=1214Last night, I peeled the small pumpkin that we received in our CSA share. I chopped it into cubes, spread the pieces onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, sprinkled them with cinnamon, and drizzled some water on top (for a bit of “steam”). Then, I popped the sheet into a 425-degree oven for 30 minutes.
