Radio Coco, reporting from Havana's famous FOCSA building, has reported that South Korea defeated Cuba 6-1 in a semifinal game at the World Junior Baseball Championships that were being played at Edmnonton, Canada. Cuba captured the bronze medal. In the gold medal game, Korea defeated the U.S. 7-0.

Photo: Radio Coco Radio Coco in Havana reports that Cuba beat Canada 4-3 at the World Youth Baseball Championship which is being played at Edmonton, Canada. It is the second Cuban victory at the games. They also published an excellent report about the current Cuban Youth Baseball Players.

July 13, 2008 USA's baseball team defeated Cuba 4-1 for the second time at the Haarlem Baseball Tournament being played at The Netherlands, and it captured the gold medal in the final game. Mike Minor was the winning pitcher for the Americans and Vycyohandri Odelin was the looser for Cuba.

Cuba beat Japan today 6-4 in a semifinal game at the Haarlem Baseball Tournament. Alexei "Phenomenon" Bell's home run in the seventh inning put Cuba ahead and broke a tied game. Excellent three innings of relief pitching by superstar and Olympian Pedro Luiz Lazo was another key factor in the Cuban victory.

Havana’s Radio Coco reports that Cuba’s national baseball team defeated the host of the Haarlem Baseball Tournament, The Netherlands, by 4-1. With this victory, Cuba advances to the first semifinal game against Japan. The star of the game was Alfredo Despaigne, who went 3-3, two of them doubles, scored two runs and batted in one.

Havana's Radio Coco reports, in Spanish, that Cuba's national baseball team defeated Taiwan 3-0, and then proceeded to liquidate Japan, 5-3. With the initial stage of the tournament now finished, Cuba has three victories and one loss. USA is the only undefeated team. As this is being written, no box-scores have been released.
