    http://www.buzzgrinder.com/ 2008/ cuban-punk-rocker-in-court-today/

The sneer knows no borders. Gorki Aguila, vocalist for Cuban punk band Porno Para Ricardo, will be tried in a Havana court today: Aguila was picked up Monday during a rehearsal for an album tentatively called Geriatric Central Committee, an apparent jab at the aging members of Cuba’s communist party leadership.

Permaculture 101: Feed The People: What Everyone Can Learn From The Cuban Oil Crisis

    http://www.econsciousmarket.com/ eco-times/ permaculture-101-feed-the-people/

Another day passes and the buzz about fuel prices and dwindling oil reserves hangs (along with the rush-hour traffic exhaust) in the evening air. The future of our global petroleum-based economy is a picture that not many of us want to paint, yet it is unavoidable not to ask what our lives may look like when the last drop of oil has burned.

A lucky sign for Obama from South Florida?

    http://miamiherald.typepad.com/ nakedpolitics/ 2008/ 08/ a-lucky-sign-fo.html

Homemade signs are generally among the banned items at tightly orchestrated political conventions -- no off point messages, please. But a small band of self-proclaimed Cuban American Democrats managed to evade the sign police Thursday night at Barack Obama's speech and made their allegiance clear.

The following book review of The Blogging Revolution, in Adelaide’s Independent Weekly, was published by Kate Lockett on August 29: Did you know that Iran has around one million bloggers, that Farsi is in the top five languages used on the internet or that 20 per cent of Saudi Arabians are now online?

    Not trusting its own citizens

I discuss in my new book, The Blogging Revolution, about the political and social realities in Cuba, and gradual liberalisation of the country under new President Raul Castro. And then this: Cuba has ordered jailed punk rocker Gorki Aguila, an outspoken critic of Fidel Castro and the communist

This is why Gorki is in trouble

    http://marcmasferrer.typepad.com/ uncommon_sense/ 2008/ 08/ this-is-why-gorki-is…

Cuban punk rocker Gorki Aguila will reportedly stand trial today in Havana on charges that he is a "pre-criminal social danger." Gorki, the lead singer for Porno Para Ricardo, is dangerous, indeed, but not for any reasons the dictatorship might have you believe.

    Airline/ Flight Travel Jokes

    http://guidebook.morewrite.com/ 2008/ 08/ 29/ airline-travel-jokes/

I took my wife to France by airline travel last year. You know how it is — you always take something with you that you don’t need. Florida has two main industries, tourists and alligators, and they skin both of them. Travel broadens one — so does sitting at home in an armchair. This is a wonderful town.
