http://www.beadingdaily.com/ blogs/ daily/ archive/ 2008/ 09/ 19/ color-tips-fro…5 Tips for Designing with Color Color is such a key element of good design. debbie bliss - magazine
http://whipup.net/ 2008/ 09/ 15/ debbie-bliss-magazine/Did you know about this? I didn’t, just as well I crawled out from under that darn rock I’ve been hibernating under! *wink* Interesting to see a knitwear designer have her own magazine. Anyone got their hands on a copy? It was launched on 5 September. Link. Share and Enjoy:

More Making
http://lindamade.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 08/ 27/ more-making/Last night I made a super delicious potato and squash torte after seeing it on Erin’s blog. Seriously. Good. It was really a great combination of relatively simple ingredients and plus you can trick men into eating squash when you douse it in potato and cheese.

Fabulous new crocheted belt book
http://www.hankeringforyarn.com/ fabulous-new-crocheted-belt-bookLast summer, at the Knit and Crochet show in Manchester, NH, a group of designers that have become friends over the years got together for lunch. We decided that we should put together a book and self publish it. It’s taken a lot longer than we expected, but it’s really wonderful.

Finally!
http://lindamade.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 06/ 10/ finally/I got my contributor’s issue of Crochet Today in the mail today (a full week later than everyone else in blog land). Really, I think my mailman probably hates me because he constantly shoves things in so he won’t have to carry them up to me.

One of the tiny ads. And the tiny ads are where you do tend to find the more bizarre products and exhortations, which is one thing that I like about them.

Vintage needlework magazines
http://sharonb.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 03/ 27/ vintage-needlework-magazines/I love curling up with a magazine and I have pointed to the On-Line Digital Archive of Documents on Weaving and Related Topics hosted by the university of Arizona as a wonderful resource for anyone interested in textiles. Many of these copyright free online books are not only of historical interest but are also a fantastic design source.

http://debbiehill.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 03/ bits-pieces.htmlI feel I haven't been very wordy of late and am going to try and write more on my blog from now on, as well as posting images. I've got some bits & bobs to share today - firstly, is this new magazine I've subscribed to: It's called okido and is aimed at children aged 2-7 which means it has some really lovely illustrations within it.
