$22 beers Yesterday was Opening Day at the LA County Fair.  After picking up the little girl from school, we braved Friday afternoon traffic to make it there before 5pm, so we could take advantage of the $1 entrance fee.  Once in, the our focus was food.  But first for drinks where 2 large (20 oz.)

Jump to Comments On Saturday, we went bowling: I didn’t bring the camera, so all I had was my cell. I really need to take a camera bowling sometime. Zoe does all her own bowling (without one of those guides for kids) and won or nearly won some games.

My sweet little boy sometimes isn't so sweet . . . in fact, I have a lot of photos where he's quite unhappy, and I felt like I needed to document this part of his life, too. I'm not sure that he will appreciate this when he's older, but at least I'll have it as proof that he wasn't perfect! I used the new collection, The County Fair for this page.

Trust me - it all comes together by the end. Around these parts, the Hopkinton Fair is the big one.  Oh sure, the Hillsboro Balloon Festival gets its fair share of notice, but if you really want to be with it in south-central New Hampshire, Hopkinton is where it’s at.

That was the question I posed to these two characters as they received their cotton candy at the fair. You never saw two boy’s eyes get so big.. Julian: ” Then you could knit it and we could eat the stuff!” Caleb: ” Yeah we could eat our hats!” Yep I have been enjoying watching The Sound of Music with the kids tonight.
