Shrimp are in abundance in our waters and many Southerners catch their own shrimp when shrimping season opens. This is not your typical hamburger or hot dog needed to celebrate Labor Day.

Country Captain a Lowcountry Chicken Curry Dish

It is a tradition in our home that whenever a birthday is celebrated you get to choose what you would like to do for dinner. My favorite dish growing up, the dish I chose for my birthday and when I came home on college breaks was a curry dish that my mom made.

Saturday -- Woke up to a wet garden and yard so it must have rained again during the night ... didn't have to water the gardens again. Woohoo! Finally got to a point where we could do some more plantings (specifically from the free plants we received).
