Two decades after it originally frightened children (Gwildor?), frustrated fanboys (Gwildor?), and pushed Cannon to the brink of bankruptcy, Masters of The Universe still has the power, thanks to Bill Conti’s original score. While it may be derivative at times, it’s a fun, breezy escape to a time where bigger was better and it was okay to hum along.
