    http://adweek.blogs.com/ adfreak/ 2008/ 10/ what-other-movi.html

Good thing the two nerds in this Diet Coke ad spent countless lonely nights memorizing Casablanca, because it finally paid off. (They must have both gone to one of the Medicare screenings.) Part of me wishes they'd gone with something that wasn't an established classic, though.

    American Brand Dominance: In Jeopardy?

    http://www.brandingstrategyinsider.com/ 2008/ 10/ american-brand.html

The 90s were a golden era for both brands and the US. For US citizens, it was the Clinton era and the greatest decade in a golden century of unparalleled fiscal growth. It was also a remarkable period in the history of branding. It was the decade that saw the revitalisation of Coca-Cola and its return to the top after its mistakes in the cola wars of the 80s.

Odd-ball green news it may be but Coke has been discovered to be an effective spermicide, which may be good for the environment; and for that very elaborate effort of discovery, a woman’s sexuality expert has just been awarded an alternative Nobel Prize for Chemistry.
