Wonderful essay on Takimag today praising, from a traditionalist conservative point of view, the writer Christopher Alexander, whose "Patterns For Living" explained why certain architecture "works," and other architecture -- especially modern and postmodern buildings -- does not.

It only took the Missouri Tigers 59 seconds on Saturday night to take the lead at Lincoln Nebraska, and go on to an enormous 52-17 victory against the Nebreaska Cornhuskers. This was another great win for the Tigers. This is not the Tigers of the 80’s or 90’s these are the 2008 Missouri Tigers and they seem to be special.

The Fashion Intel loves witches [if you already hadn't noticed], both good and bad, so I was so excited to see Hermione in the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar.  To be honest, I was simply excited to see Emma Watson!  I’ve never read any of the Harry Potter books, and probably have only seen two of the films, but I love that there is a fashionable red headed witch in that series.
