I just finished reading Charlotte Bronte's last novel, Villette. Would I recommend it? Not really. I much prefer Jane Austen's novels, all seven of which I just finished a couple of weeks ago. I did pick up some weird new vocabulary words from Villette, though.

There's been action on the Bronte movie adaptation front: according to Variety, Natalie Portman will NOT be playing the heroine in the upcoming Wuthering Heights movie, and according to BuzzSugar, Ellen Page WILL be playing Jane Eyre. To which I reply: meh.

The adorable star of Juno and Hard Candy has signed on to play Jane Eyre in upcoming adaption. The BBC film will be produced by the same person who brought us The Other Boleyn Girl. No director has been attached as yet. Even though I have seen countless versions of Jane Eyre, I am very interested in seeing this one.
