Gates Predicts `Significant Recession,’ More Job Loss October 13, 2008 | Leave a Comment By John Lauerman and Rachel Layne Oct. 13 (Bloomberg) — Microsoft Corp. co-founder Bill Gates said the U.S. economy is headed for a “fairly significant recession,” and that the unemployment rate may peak at more than 9 percent.

This week was so busy that we ran out of time to post about today’s Celebration of Cultures in Centennial Park. Many of our friends have mentioned that it’s one of their favorite festival-type events around town, and we’re excited to attend for the first year.
