Way back in March we were one of the first to tell you about Will Smith getting involved with a script called The Last Pharaoh. Smith had Chris Hauty (Never Back Down) polishing a script by Carl Franklin (Devil In A Blue Dress) at the time, but I guess he wasn’t perfectly happy with it because he’s hired someone else to take a shot.

This news to me. Just found out that the woman who wrote the 1970's hit, Poetry Man, will be performing at the 2008 BAM Rhythm & Blues Festival at MetroTech on July 17th. There are other great acts, too, including Richie Havens with Carl Franklin, the boy who played Bob Dylan in the film, I'm Not There.
