Car Town is a social game for Facebook where participants can do chores, such as delivering pizzas and helping a buddy out in his garage, in order to earn points (or coins) to purchase vehicles and other virtual shop items. Participants can also earn points by successfully challenging one another to a race.
While an element of racing is included in the game, Car Town is more about collecting cool cars and trucks, then using custom parts and tools to personalize those vehicles in route to amassing a Jay Leno-like garage.
Car Town features a wide variety of vehicle brands, including Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, GM and Chrysler and late model vehicles as well as some hot rods and street customs. For those who've dreamed of owning an exotic like a McLaren F1, Lamborghini LP670-4 SuperVeloce, or Mercedes SLR McLaren, they're in luck - Car Town has those too.
Like other social games, Car Town takes quite a bit of effort to get the really cool stuff, so they allow lazy players to purchase credits to shortcut their way to a dream garage.
For those not ready to cough up real cash for virtual goods, online fan communities offer Car Town Tips, secrets, cheats and strategies to boost their progress through the game without breaking out the wallet.
